Vintage Schedel Bavaria Puzzle Stein w/Woodland Birds, Excellent
This Schedel puzzle stein is a traditional novelty German beer mugfeaturing hidden holes along the rim and a hollow handle that actsas a straw, requiring a specific drinking technique to avoid spilling.
It features a woodland game bird, probably a Eurasan Woodcock(known in Germany as a Waldschnepfe) or it's closely related cousin,the Common Snipe.
The user must cover specific secret holes to be able to drink from the stein.There is a secret lithophane of a risque woman posed at the base ofthe stein, easily seen when held up to the light once it is emptied.
Stein is 7" high, 7" wide including handle and 4.75" base diameter.
