Vintage Scheveningen, Netherlands RPPC Postcards - Set of 2 (Late 1950s)
Highly detailed pair of vintage mid-century Real Photo Postcards (RPPCs) showcasing the historic seaside resort district of Scheveningen in The Hague, Netherlands.
This paired lot includes two beautifully preserved views:
1. **Card 1 (No. 3674) - Beach Boulevard & Cafe Scene:**
* **Front:** A bustling aerial view looking down the crowded beach boulevard. Features fantastic vintage 1950’s cars, a classic Volkswagen, and patio diners sitting under vibrant polka-dot umbrellas. Captioned "Groeten uit Scheveningen" (Greetings from Scheveningen).
*****Note Coca-Cola sign on light post
* **Back:** Clean, unposted, and marked with the publisher's "Takken" diamond logo and "Echte Foto" (Real Photo).
2. **Card 2 (No. 3659) - Grand Hotel Streetview:**
* **Front:** A crisp architectural shot of the famous Grand Hotel. Includes classic mid-century luxury cars parked out front, a Dutch flag flying, and excellent contrast.
* **Back:** Clean, unused, and matches the layout/publisher details of the first card.
Condition Details:
* Both cards feature beautiful, period-accurate deckled/scalloped edges.
* **Please Note:**
* There is a small surface scuff/scratch on the front of the beach scene card, located directly on one of the polka-dot umbrellas near the bottom center (see close-up photos).
* Aside from minor vintage imperfections, both cards are in very good condition with sharp photographic gloss and great contrast.
* Unused and unposted with clean backs, no writing, and no stamps.
* Please inspect all photos closely to assess condition details.
Cards will be shipped securely in a rigid mailer to ensure they arrive safely.
