This is a classic vintage 1960s-1970s embroidered ski resort patch from Seven Springs Mountain Resort located in Champion, Pennsylvania. It measures approximately 2 1/2 inches tall by 2 1/8 inches wide. Pre-owned. Please enlarge and view all photos.
The mascot depicted skiing on the patch represents a Bavarian character, which honors the heritage of the resort's German immigrant founder, Adolph Dupre. He and his wife Helen originally started the property as a farm in 1932 before transitioning it into a ski area.

Design Features: A shield shape bordered in red stitching, featuring a cartoon Bavarian figure wearing traditional lederhosen-style colors, a Tyrol hat, and retro leather ski boots.
Resort History: Seven Springs is the largest ski resort in Pennsylvania. The family was legendary in the industry; Adolph invented the first mechanical rope tow, and his son Herman Dupre went on to pioneer modern commercial snowmaking technology and chairlifts.
