Offered is a beautiful matched pair of vintage Stiffel table lamps, featuring Stiffel’s substantial construction, classic brass finish and elegant architectural column design.
These lamps have wonderful presence. Each features a broad decorative base, rounded lower body, tiered column, original-style harp and a particularly attractive decorative brass finial. The proportions and detailing give them a timeless traditional look that works beautifully in a dining room, living room, library, entry or bedroom.
Both lamps retain their Stiffel-marked 3-way sockets and appear to retain their original wiring, harps, finials and hardware. The undersides retain their original brown felt coverings. The lamps have been tested and are working, including the 3-way socket function when used with the appropriate bulb.
Condition: Very good vintage condition overall and clearly well cared for. The brass surfaces retain a beautiful warm aged appearance with expected light surface wear, small marks and natural variation consistent with age. One lamp has a localized area of finish loss/discoloration along the lower portion of the base, shown clearly in the photographs. It is relatively unobtrusive during normal display and the lamp can be positioned so this area faces toward the rear/side while still accommodating the cord. Additional minor wear is present around portions of the lower base edges. Please review all photographs, which are considered part of the condition description.
Each lamp weighs slightly over 6 lbs, giving the pair the substantial feel associated with vintage Stiffel lighting.
