Rare vintage General QuickAid Model SA-303 Fire Guard soda-acid fire extinguisher manufactured by The General Pacific Corp. (Los Angeles, Calif., with additional markings for San Francisco and Seattle). This classic 2½-gallon copper/brass unit features deeply embossed instructions, including “SODA-ACID,” “NOT FOR ELECTRICAL FIRES,” and “TO USE TURN BOTTOM UP.”
It includes the original handle, hose with nozzle, and protective top ring. The extinguisher is empty and shows authentic patina and wear consistent with age. Approximate measurements: ~23–24 inches tall and ~7 inches in diameter (body). Tested to 350 lbs pressure per the markings; also notes “Underwriters’ Laboratories, Inc.” approval and “Patent Pending.”
