Texas Tumbleweed was a Texas steakhouse and entertainment restaurant chain specializing in “Texas Size Steaks cooked over mesquite.” Period Dallas directories document Texas Tumbleweed locations at 14775 Midway Road and 9100 N. Central Expressway by 1982, with the Midway Road restaurant continuing for years afterward.
The inside advertising captures the restaurant's concept particularly well, promoting Texas-size mesquite-cooked steaks, live entertainment and dancing, party accommodations for as many as 600 people, off-premise catering, and “convenient locations all over Texas.”
Original vintage matchbook with matches present and appearing unstruck. Attractive oversized Texas Tumbleweed logo on both covers. Light age/storage wear and a few small spots are visible; please see photographs for condition.
