Original vintage United States Marine Corps enlisted garrison cap in traditional forest green wool, complete with period Eagle, Globe and Anchor (EGA) insignia.
Classic folding overseas/garrison cap construction with the USMC emblem mounted to the side. The cap shows the straightforward wool construction associated with mid-century Marine Corps uniforms and appears consistent with examples from the WWII/Korean War period, although no visible dated contract marking was found and an exact date cannot be guaranteed.
The EGA displays attractive age and patina and appears to have been with the cap for quite some time.
Condition: Good vintage military condition with age-related wear, surface soiling, fading and storage wear. There appears to be at least one small moth/insect hole visible in the wool. Interior shows age and wear as photographed. No cleaning or restoration has been attempted.
Please review all photographs carefully for condition and measure the inside circumference for actual sizing.
