This is a vintage Valley Forge Stainless Steel knife blade with heavy wear and noticeable sharpening regrind near the heel.• Origin: The Valley Forge Cutlery Co. was originally founded in Newark, New Jersey, in 1892.• History: It was acquired and operated by Herman Boker & Co. (Boker USA) starting around 1899 to produce domestic American cutlery. The brand used the Valley Forge name through the first half of the 20th century.
• Condition Notes: The blade shows significant surface wear, pitting, and a deep scallop or
\"recurve\" right above the bolster caused by years of aggressive or improper wheel-sharpening (often called a \"sharpening choil\" or heel notch).This knife is in fair condition.
