Victors is one of those vintage pipe marques that has managed to almost completely disappear from the historical record.
Surviving examples are stamped VICTORS HAND MADE, with some also proudly carrying the ALGERIAN BRIAR stamp and the pipes themselves are often considerably nicer than the obscurity of the name would suggest.
Exactly who made them remains a mystery. There are tantalizing connections to the old American pipe trade, including possible ties to Jost’s of St. Louis, but nothing solid enough yet to put a definitive factory name behind the brand.
What is clear is that these were not throwaway pipes. Good briar, handsome traditional shaping and genuine old-school hand finishing make Victors a seriously interesting sleeper.
A damn good vintage pipe from a maker history apparently determined to stay hidden.

My shipping is a little more than some. I use UPS (unless it's going to a PO Box or non contiguous US) because UPS has a 98% success rate versus USPS at 87.5%. I have a dedicated UPS representative who goes above and beyond in the rare case there is a shipping issue. Three-ish dollars is worth the peace of mind in my opinion.
