Vintage Victor's Custom Tack Silver &Bronze Headstall And Breast Collar Set MINT For Sale

Vintage, 1970's-1980's, Victor's Custom Tack Scottsdale AZ., Sterling Silver and Jewlers Bronze Refined One Eared Headstall and Breast Collar Show Set. This came from an era when Arabians were the big thing in Scottsdale AZ. This set shows VERY Little use. Only used a few times in a show ring. There are few, if any, marks where the buckles have set. indicating such little wear. There are no sweat marks either. The leather is prime quality and still looks brand new with NO Cracking in the heavy wear areas. See pics for the best description of the condition this lovely piece is in! The set is on the small side. Made for an Arabian most likely. The headstall measures 33"-39" bit end to bit end. and the Breast collar is 35"across. without the tugs. and a 24"drop to the girth. The Hardware for the tugs are made in Italy. The hand engraved silver work is all done by Victor himself. This is not the same as Victor of Victor Quality (with the little horse) who passed away in the mid 70's. I spoke with Victor of Victor's Custom Tack when I acquired this piece. he confirmed the age and time during which it was made but was no longer dealing with Tack. He has since passed :( . He was an exceptional quality artisan. Note the buckles for instance. he has a trade mark buckle that works really well and is exceptionally flattering to the horse. I cannot say enough about this gorgeous bridle and breast collar set. The set also includes the original matching, and very usable as is, hand engraved, silver curb chain. this curb piece does not need any new leather or reworking. It is soft and supple with no cracking anywhere and strong as the day it was made. It is Rare and Unique to find a complete set like this still in working order, still intact, not covered in a "patina" (aka manure) that is slowly dissolving your silver and your leather with its acidity.
