1950s Knickerbocker "Animals of Distinction" 14” rubber-face monkey plush. This classic mid-century kitsch piece features a wonderfully expressive molded face, complete with side-glancing blue eyes, delicate black lashes, and bright smiling features.
Condition Details:
Face: Excellent condition. The factory paint is exceptionally crisp with virtually no chipping, rubbing, or scuffing on the nose, eyes, or lips. The original airbrushed pink blush on the cheeks and ears is remarkably vibrant.
Plush Body: The cream-colored plush body is soft and structurally sound with no holes or open seams. There is some fur wear spots near the shoulder and ribbon area (please see close-up photos for exact detail).
Accents: Retains its original bright orange satin neck ribbon.
This is a fantastic display piece for any collector of vintage mid-century plush, Rushton-style rubber face toys, or 1950s kitsch!
