As you can see this old axe heads bits/cutting edges have seen better days (see pics of the cutting edges). The cutting edges have some chips, nicks and rolls on them (see all pics & vid). The axe head has scratches and pitting on all sides of it (see pics & vid). Also on the top and bottom of the axe head near the eyes are some hammer marks (see pics). The makers mark: LARGE EMBOSSED LOGO INDIAN CHIEF HEAD. With the words: "BARKER ROSE & KIMBALL INC. ELMIRA N.Y." (see pics). And on the other side of the axe head is weight stamp that looks like 4 1 ?(see pics). The axe head weighs in at 3 pounds 6.2 oz. The axe head is 8-1/2" long (see pics). The bits are both a little over 5" wide. The eye of the axe head is about 3" long. NOTE: With some TLC the two bits/cutting edges on this old axe head can be resurrected to be very close to original once again.You will not be disappointed in thisRARE!
