Vtg Craftsman pear-head 1/2\" ratchet, 1940s, extra-nice condition For Sale

Here\'s a Craftsman pear-head 1/2\" ratchet from the 1940s in exceptionally nice condition.It appears very lightly used.There\'s no damage anywhere, except a small spot of missing plating on the head cover plate (see pic #6).The rest of the ratchet is very clean.The mechanism was checked, cleaned, and re-lubed - it shows no internal damage or wear, and works perfectly.It has an oil hole at the top of the head.These ratchets are from the beginning of the \"V\" era, but this one may be very early production, as it has no \"V\", and no other marks at all, besides the brand name stamp and the \"forged in U.S.A.\" stamp.It also has the wider handle of the earlier versions.It\'s quite a heavily-built tool: 1 lb. 4 oz.!...very hard to find one in this condition!
