Framed under glass in original wood frame with thick mat around artwork. Original unbroken brown paper backing

This is an original hand pulled woodblock print by renowned Japanese Artist, Hiratsuka Unichi [1895-1997]. It is hand signed in pencil [graphite] in both Japanese and in English, and dated 1957. It also includes the Artist\'s red seal mark in the lower left corner. The Japanese characters on the left side may be the title of the piece.
A fantastic scene of a Japanese temple compound, with trees in the background and clouds above. Simple and marvelous.
A highly collectible piece- the print is expertly done, very distinct and crisp, ink color deep. Paper color is a warm ivory tone.
Excellent condition. No damage or staining/ warping/ fading to artwork and no damage to frame, mat or glass. There is a very small speck of brown dust, probably from the interior of frame, which has settled onto the bottom left corner of the mat between the mat and the inside of the glass- the mat is NOT damaged and if the backing were removed it could simply be pulled out/brushed away. It\'s super minor, up to buyer. See last pic. Backed by original brown paper backing. Has a sturdy wire hanger stretched across back, ready to hang.
A highly collectible piece- woodblock prints by Mr. Hiratsuka are increasing in value each year since his death. Many of his pieces are in University and Museum collections, and sold by Galleries.
He is globally recognized as a Modern Master printmaker and wood cutter.
