Upfor your consideration is this very pretty raised floral design Japanese biscuit jar. It was manufactured by Hotta Yu Shoten Co. during the pre-war era of the 1920's and 1930's. It has the distinct mark from the manufacture on the bottom. The jar is amedium shade of cream with a basket weave back ground and an embossed floral design. Itis approximately8.0"high to the top of the finial and has an approximatebottom measurement of 6.0". It is approximately 7.5"between the handle knobs. The wicker handle appears to be in good condition. The outside of thejar has some areas of staining and also the inside of the jarwhich is normal for a vintage jar. Nocracks , there is one chip inside the jar rim.Theoutside of the jar has some manufactured defects.Noneof these defects take away from the display quality ofthe jar.
