Absolutely stunning Vintage Hungarian Kalocsa Hand Embroidered Floral Tablecloth.
Handmade in Hungary, likely in the Kalocsa region, known for its distinctive embroidery style.
Masterfully hand-embroidered with vibrant floral motifs, it measures 53x65 inches and showcases traditional Hungarian folk art. Incredibly intricate floral embroidery on all 4 corners and sides. The center scattered petite bouquets of flowers.
The embroidery is double-sided, the reverse side is nearly as beautiful as the top.
The linen fabric is a natural taupe color and is quite heavy. There is a stiffness to it. All for edges are scalloped with an embroidered eyelet design.
Hand wash recommended to preserve the delicate embroidery
Can be ironed on a low setting
Avoid harsh chemicals or bleach
The only flaw I see is a faint blue spot in the center of the tablecloth. See last photo.
