Up for sale is a beautiful vintage set of three (3) MacBeth-Evans plates in the highly collectible Chinex Classic pattern (Ivory tone). Manufactured during the Depression era (1930s–1940s), these plates feature an elegant scalloped pie-crust edge, a delicate embossed scrolling leaf/floral design along the rim, and distinct concentric rings on the underside.
Uranium Glass / UV Glow Property:
These plates were crafted with a small amount of uranium oxide in the glass mix. Under normal ambient light, they look like classic semi-opaque ivory vitrock or milk glass. However, when placed under a UV blacklight 365nm, they fluoresce a brilliant, fiery neon green. A must-have addition for any uranium glass, vaseline glass, or Depression-era collector display shelf!
