Authentic WWII-era military souvenir: a genuine U.S. $2 United States Note (Series 1928, red seal/serial) with a vintage Japanese 10 Yen banknote taped to it.
This “short snorter” style piece was commonly made by American servicemen in the Pacific theater—taping foreign currency to a U.S. bill as a personal keepsake.
• U.S. $2 bill features Thomas Jefferson (front) and Monticello (back)
• Japanese 10 Yen note (1930s issue) features Wake no Kiyomaro portrait
• Also included: one additional loose Japanese 10 Yen note from the same era (with overstamp)
Both notes show circulated wear, folds, stains, and age-appropriate patina. Tape is original and yellowed. Unsigned.
