War Shipping Administration Log Books S.S. Fenn Victory 1945-46 For Sale

Three consecutive WW 2 original WR Shipping Administration Form 17 Bridge Log Books from the SS Fenn Victory a Richmond built VC-2-S AP2 Victory ship( the first 2) documenting ship board operations from 12/15/45 through2/22/46 with continuous original handwritten entries with the signatures of Master GS Mulason and Chief Mate CJ Truitt. The third book is a Chief Engineers Log from the SS Fenn Victory from 10/15/45 through 2/23/46 with signatures from engineers on duty with engine status and glued in bilge records. The condition of all 3 Log books is very good (VG) by historical manuscript standards. On 8/12/47 the SS Fenn Victory was involved with a collision and sinking of the Diamond Knot carrying a cargo of canned Salmon. The Diamond Knot was sunk following an attempt to tow her to port with all hands rescued. The salmon was salvaged using a unique suction technique with a cargo that would be currently valued at 32 million. A majority of these logs were destroyed in the 1980s with pictures of the SS Fenn victory held in the national archives. Own a piece of WW 2 history of a ship with a story.
