Waterman's C/F (cartridge filler) was introduced in the early 1950s and was produced in large numbers in several different countries.The C/F cartridge remained Waterman's standard refill into the 1970s. Waterman hasn't produced C/F cartridges for quite some time, though Waterman convertors could still be found in Europe at a reasonable price until several years ago. Nearly all sellers now are out of stock, and those who still list them are asking as much as $50+
After extensive experimentation, we are now producing our own shop-made C/F converters. They are piston-style rather than the original squeeze-fillers, and are available in two versions. The version listed here has a black front seal that is designed to be easily replaceable. It will fit all Waterman C/F pens and many others that use C/F cartridges, but may not hold securely in some later Waterman models that have shorter cartridge piercing tubes. For maximum compatibility, we now offer a version with a fixed clear front seal, listed here. Both versions are the same length as original converters and cartridges.
NOTE: We have been steadily refining the design of these converters, so they may differ slightly from the photos in minor details.
