ITEM DESCRIPTION

This vintage Weil Ware California Pottery Country Girl Figural Vase is in Very Good Vintage Condition with No Chips No Cracks. NOTE: There is natural crazing consistent with age. Made by Weil Ware of California, this charming figural vase dates from approximately 1946–1955 and measures approximately 10" tall.

The vase depicts a country girl wearing a creamy ivory dress decorated with hand-painted green flowers and trailing leaves. Her dress is accented with a dark green belt and neckline, while a light green scarf frames her brown hair.

The young woman is modeled leaning gracefully against a large light green vase or planter that forms the functional flower opening. Her relaxed pose and long flowing dress give the piece a distinctive mid-century California pottery appearance.

The hand-painted decoration combines several shades of green with the warm ivory glaze, creating an attractive color combination typical of Weil Ware decorative pottery from this period.

PATTERN & DESIGN

This Country Girl vase is a wonderful example of mid-century Weil Ware California pottery, combining a decorative female figure with a functional flower vase.

The girl's long ivory gown is decorated throughout with small green flowers and delicate trailing leaves. Dark green accents at her waist, neckline and sleeves contrast beautifully with the lighter green scarf and vase.

The large rectangular flower opening is incorporated directly into the design beside the figure, allowing the piece to be displayed as either a decorative figurine or a functional flower vase.

The unusual figural form, hand-painted floral decoration and classic green and ivory color combination make this an attractive example of vintage Weil Ware California pottery from the 1940s–1950s.

This measures 10" High x 5" Wide base. I have provided many pictures to best describe the condition of this Figurine.
