The Sewer Monsters is a particularly notable Bob Powell horror story and has subsequently been reprinted in collections of classic pre-Code horror material.
CONDITION:
Low-grade original copy that remains attached and presents nicely considering its age.
Front cover retains strong eye appeal with vivid orange, green, yellow and black colors and excellent mummy/tomb imagery.
Visible defects include substantial spine wear and stress, creasing, edge and corner wear, surface wear, small tears, discoloration, staining and general handling wear.
There is heavier wear and deterioration along the spine, including small areas of paper loss.
Back cover is present and exhibits age-related tanning, edge and corner wear, creasing and general handling wear.
Interior pages remain attached and exhibit expected tanning and age-related wear while retaining strong color and highly readable artwork.
No numerical grade has been assigned.
A very displayable survivor from the early years of Harvey’s pre-Code horror output with excellent mummy imagery and interior artwork by Bob Powell and Rudy Palais.
