I cut the slab from the original piece specifically to create this mirrored display pair.Both faces have been brought to a beautiful mirror polish and show exceptional old-stock color, contrast, and detail. Rich mustard yellow, red, white, gray, brown, and lavender banding surrounds sparkling crystalline pockets, with an unusually bold central pattern that almost takes on the appearance of a face.There are also areas showing a striking chromatography-like effect, where pigments appear separated and diffused through adjacent bands, creating subtle transitions and additional layers of color.This is a genuinely large Kentucky agate centerpiece, especially impressive displayed as the matching pair.
