You are buying an extra rare 1940 Galloping Gertie Tacoma Narrows bridge matchbook cover. This was compliments of Washington Cigarette Service at 615 North 10th St.The first Narrows bridge that was completed and opened in July of 1940 only lasted until a November storm when it collapsed and fell into the water below. Making this item a very scarce find, as these were pulled from distribution after the bridge collapsed.The wording on it says Tacoma Narrows Bridge Completed July 1, 1940 Visit the Tacoma Narrows Bridge- Connecting link between Rainier National Park & Olympic National Park.This old vintage and original match book cover is in Used, As-Is condition as seen in the photos.
