Salsbury's Troubadours was a highly successful 19th-century American musical comedy and farce troupe. Founded in 1875 by actor and Civil War veteran Nate Salsbury and his partner John Webster, the company toured the United States and Europe for over a decade.The troupe became famous for their high-energy, comedic variety acts and original plays written by Salsbury himself. Their most renowned production was a musical farce titled The Brook, which satirized the theatrical conventions of the era.
