Antique c.1915 comic Valentine postcard featuring a colorful fisherman hooking a fish with the humorous caption, “That story about ‘the only one you ever loved’ sounds ‘fishy.’”
Wonderful early fishing-themed Valentine combining romance, humor and angling imagery. Made in U.S.A. and marked C.S. 511 with a circular publisher/trademark symbol on the reverse. Publisher is currently unidentified.
Written and addressed in pencil to Marvin Truitt but apparently never postally mailed. No stamp or cancellation is present.
