Rare Fowler's Cherry Smash Soda Dispenser.

Under the base where the connection to the top is sealed with a round area of plaster, the milk glass is embossed with "Property of John E. Fowler, Rosslyn, VA."There is a lip on the top for a rubber gasket, so this may have been designed to hold an upside-down jug or bottle.The base is a thick milk glass with raised lettering on two sides with what appears to be the original red paint, slightly faded. There is some normal wear to the paint.The spigot is a Bakelite-type plastic and the button works, although it is untested for use.On the back side there is an original flaw line that looks like a crack, but it is not. The detail photo shows the line has rounded edges and fades out at the end, so this was a mold issue and is not damage.There are tiny, insignificant fleabites along the bottom edge, that were likely original flaws, but there is one small chip on the underside of one corner with a pad next to it. There are swirl lines and hairline gaps on corners from the manufacturing process, typical of old milk glass. See photos.No chips or cracks in the clear glass.Overall good condition with normal signs of age and use. Needs a deep cleaning.11" tall x 7" square base. The top is 6" diameter.
