View Larger Image   Buckeye Saw Co. Hand Saw   Description: This 26" long blade, 8 points per inch, hand-saw is marked with a rarely seen name in saws, THE BUCKEYE SAW CO.. It has a patent date on the handle of 1920 or there abouts, (it's hard to read the small stamped date in wood). The patent appears to be on the beech handle itself with a unique pointer finger cutout in the top of the handle. The handle is in very good condition with brass hardware. The Buckeye Saw and Vice Co. was located in Cleveland Ohio, in business between 1904 to 1931. The cast steel blade has some minor pitting on it, covering less than 10% of the total surface of steel. There are a few teeth that need some touch up, but none are broken.
