Yankee No. 44 Push Drill Adjustable Spring   Description: This is a very nice, clean spiral, automatic push drill w/ 7 different sized drills (from 1/16" to 11/64") that store in the handle. This model push drill features the adjustable spring tension, to assist with smaller, more fragile drill points, with less pressure on them to keep them from breakage. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 44 NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. PHILA PA U.S.A. PAT. JAN.25.98 OTHER PATS. PENDING" on the nickel plated area between the handle and the knurled nut. It measures 9.5" long overall extended without the drill bit. The steel screw type chuck and spiral system are in good working condition some wear on the spiral moving shaft due to the movement of the shaft, and the brass under is is showing through. Nickel plating is about 70% intact, with some wear, and ting dings noted. The bits are removable, and have a .168" diameter shank, and appear to be in good useable condition. The adjustment is at the handle cap and is released be a push slide lock on the side of the handle, it does work. The handle does open at the other end for magazine drill point storage.
