View Larger Image   Starrett Speed Indicator No. 104 + Box Pat. 1905   Description: This is a super clean used machinist speed indicator with two interchangeable attachments (slip on tips) and in it's original box. It's marked "L.S. STARRETT ATHOL MASS. U.S.A. PAT. APR.13.1897 PAT. MAR.28.1905" on the tool. This is a pre-1909 manufacturing date, as "THE" was added to the Starrett mark, after 1909. Nickel plating is about 98% intact, works fine. The box has the old maroon paper, has only the marking on the top in black lettering, with no sign of a side label ever being on this box. The rubber tips on the attachments are in great shape, minimal wear. There is some wear on the box paper, as noted in the picture, but both the top and bottom are solid in good condition with some clear tape repairs on the corners, the label is in nice shape on both the top and the end. There is a how to use instruction paper in the bottom of the box as well.
