View Larger Image   Stanley No. 6C Fore Plane 1920's Era Sweetheart   Description: Offering this clean No. 6C (corrigated bottom) Type 12 fore plane retaining about 50% of it's original Japanning, (worn thin evenly behind the frog mostly) this plane is in very good working condition with nice solid rosewood handle and front knob. The tote handle is solid, and not cracked, good smooth finish, very little wear. The knob is nice, with a some tiny dings and scratches, very solid, nice. This plane cutter iron is marked "STANLEY SW MADE IN U.S.A." on the cutter. Also marked on the bed "BAILEY NO. 6 U.S. Pat. Apr. 19-10" on the bed casting. There is no cracks in the metal castings, little wear or a few minor edge dings, minor pitting on the exterior side walls, the bottom is very nice. The bottom is clean, flat and smooth, very little wear, nice. There is plenty of length on the sharp cutter, about 95% new length, and all the adjustments work smoothly.
