View Larger Image   Ward Gouge Chisel 3/8 inch Carving 19th Century   Description: This is a nice clean tanged gouge carving chisel, with with a rarely seen 19th century maker's name and logo on it! It marked "WARD CAST STEEL" on the steel. The handle is solid and well attached with, two grain seperations near the brass furrule, still strong and well attached. The chisel is sharp, is out-channel sharpened, and measure .44" wide (at the widest point), about .38 at the cutting edge x 8.5" long overall.
