It is only 1/8" wide at the cutting edge, and 7.75" long overall. It has a standard or full sweep or arc in regards to the type of gouge, out-channel sharpened, and is sharp and ready to use. It has a good solid, tanged type hardwood handle, with a good brass ferrule that fits well and looks nice. A very nice, hard to find chisel overall, by a well known edge tool maker! These very narrow width size gouge chisels are very hard to find, as most are found damaged, bent of broken.
