View Larger Image   Knapp & Cowles Turnscrew Antique Blade Screwdriver   Description: This is a nice clean old 1800's screwdriver, designed for turning large machined screws into hardwood or metalworking threaded screws. The steel blade is about 7/32" thick on average, and is straight, not bend, several tiny edge dings noted. It's 16.75" long overall x .50" wide tip, very sturdy, has a good solid handle with a brass ferrule for added strenghth, a very tight hairline crack noted nearly the full length of the wood handle, tested and is holding strong, good brass furrule also snug fitting. Some modifactions have been made to the tip over the years, but is still close to the original size. The ended of the handle has been tapped on just a bit, some minor dents can be seen in the last picture.
