View Larger Image   Disston D-23 Hand-saw 10 TPI Vintage Chrome Nickel Blade   Description: This is a very nice crosscut hand-saw marked, "ESTABLISHED 1840 HENRY DISSTON D-23 (hanging scale logo) 10 POINTS USA DISSTON INC. DANVILLE VA. U.S.A. CHROME NICKEL ALLOY STEEL FULL TAPER GROUND" and other writing (signature in writing script), also "DISSTON * U.S.A. * " on the brass medallion on the handle. Nice wheat design carved handle with very little wear and minor scratches, about 97% of the original finish intact, a past owner's initial markings on one side noted. Some minor specks of old paint noted on the handle, and a few on the blade also. The nickel plated hardware appears clean and in good condition, most of the plating intact, the handle is snug fitting. The blade is very straight, very sharp, cuts just fine, with light staining, the teeth are in very good condition, no missing teeth, about 98% sharpness.
