View Larger Image   Stanley No. 68 Carpenters Rule 2 Foot 4 Fold   Description: This is a nice clean 24", 4 fold boxwood carpenter's rule, very well made, and in good+ condition. It is marked "NO. 68 STANLEY" on one side, and "STANLEY RULE & LEVEL CO. NEW BRITAIN CONN. U.S.A. WARRENTED BOXWOOD" on the inside. As you can see in the pictures, there is some wear, on this rule, some minor edge dings, some noted wear around the main hinge alignment pin areas from closing the rule up without the pins being aligned, otherwise in good usable condition with only that one alignment pin intact. One of the three original brass locator pins are intact. It appears one of the pins is partially intact on the flat part, one is removed. One of the center hinges has a tight hairline crack on one side of the boxwood only, still holding strong, and all the hinges are still snug. This rule is actually in better shape than most we see in this model. All the graduation are still clearly seen, markings on both sides of the boxwood with a 24" total length, graduations in 8ths, and 16ths inches. Only minor warping to report.
