View Larger Image   Antique Socket Mortise Chisel 1/8 inch   Description: This is a nice clean old 1/8" wide mortise chisel that is not marked by the maker. It is in good useable condition overall, no rust, very sharp, some minor pitting on the sides starting about 1/2" back from the cutting edge, and a very nice hardwood handle, with a very good leather end cap. It measures 1/8" wide x 13" long overall (9" steel only). The mortise chisel is thicker than the firmer chisel, in fact this one is 1/2" thick at the widest point just in front of the socket, where a firmer chisel would be around 3/8" thick in this width of chisel.
