View Larger Image   Butcher Tanged Firmer Chisel 1.0 inch   Description: This is a nice clean antique 1.0 wide x 10.0" long tanged flat carving chisel marked "W. BUTCHER CAST STEEL" on the steel. The steel length alone is 5.20". It came with a group of 19th century English chisels that I purchased together, with the British export symbols also marked on the steel opposite the maker's mark (a circle logo with a arrow with the point, pointing at an + shaped symbol). Nice quality cast steel, with some minor pitting on the top mostly, none effecting the cutting edge area.
