View Larger Image   Audels Carpenters & Builders Guide Set 1947   Description: This is a clean set of Audels with a complete set of 4 volumes copyright in 1923 & 1939, reprinted in 1947. One of my favorite reference book sets for information on building and carpentry techniques from the 1940's. The 1st volume is very good for information on tools of that days and how to care for them. Each book is 5" x 6.5" has a black leather like look, pressed cloth exterior highlighted with gold gilt spine lettering. All are in very good, near mint condition, some pages have a crease from being folded over on volume 3, good solid, tight bindings, pages are clean and white, no wear, no damage, no writing or scrimbling, nice inside. The cover boards are semi-soft, in very good condition. The gold gilt on the spines are slightly more faded on two volumes than on the other two. Page edges are red, very nice overall, the top page edge of Vol.3 is slightly faded or lighter than the others. Overall near mint condition.
