View Larger Image   Stanley Yankee Screwdriver Ratchet No. 130A w/Hex Adapter   Description: This is a very good working, clean 1950's era ratchet spiral screwdriver with lots of different hex bits and a quick attach Yankee to hex adapter to hold the bits or driver tips! This one comes with a No. 1 & 2 Phillips, 5 different slot tips, and 7 different TORX screw type driver tips also. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 130A NORTH BROS. A DIV. OF STANLEY TOOLS PHILA. PA. U.S.A.", on the main nickel plated shaft. This screwdriver is the mid-size that Stanley made in regards to tooling, or the tips that fit into the chuck, they are the .280 (9/32") shank diameter size. Stanley bought out North Brothers in the late 1940's, and this tooling for these screwdrivers remained the same for Stanley production, as North Bros.. There is some minor wear on the screwdriver, about 95% nickel plating intact, with about 80% of the handle paint intact, no rust or damage. The handle paint color seems different on this one, more red, it may have been repainted at some time. Some minor dings and scratches noted on both the wood handle, and on the metal. In very good mechanical condition, works great. This one has a rapid return spring, on the spiral system, so it springs back after you push it in to drive a screw. It also had a lever tab control ratchet system for driving or un-screwing screws, and the spiral system can be locked down, or in the closed position for ratchet use only as an use option. It measures 17.5" long overall with no tip in the chuck.
