View Larger Image   Audels Carpenters and Builders Guide 4 Vol 1939 Set   Description: This is a nice set of Audels with a complete set of 4 volumes printed and copyright in 1923, 1939,- printed 1939. One of my favorite reference book sets for information on building and carpentry techniques from the 1930's. The 1st volume is very good for information on tools of that days and how to care for them. Each book is 5" x 6.7" has a black leather like pressed cloth hard boards, gold gilt spine lettering and page edges. All 4 volumes are in nice clean condition with light wear on the covers. The covers appear to have been exposed to some high humidity as they have slightly warped semi-soft boards, mostly seen on volume 1, much less on the others. All volumes are in good+ to good++ condition, covers are clean, spines are tight and straight. Some cover corners are slightly bumped inward, minor issue. Page edges are tipped in red. Pages are clean, no tears, a each volume has a past owners name on the inside blank front and back blank cover paper. End papers are clean. Good tight bindings.
