View Larger Image   Lufkin Steel Folding Rule Zig Zag No. 1143 Rare!   Description: This is a quality made 36" (3 foot) steel zig zag folding rule in very good useable condition. It is marked "THE LUFKIN RULE COMPANY SAGINAW U.S.A. No. 1143". This is one of very few of these that I have seen with the No. 1143 marking on it! Considered rare. When fully unfolded it measures 36 long. It is thinner and more narrow than the much more common No. 1173, 1174, 1176, or 1178 models, only .019" thich steel x .37" wide, yet is made in the same basic design with the same type of joint as those comparible models listed above. Smaller, yet still strong with very good joints. No rust, no damage, some darkening on the steel, and no pitting noted.
