Offered here is an original issue of The Montreal Gazette dated Thursday, November 11, 1830, Vol. XXXVIII, No. 90—a remarkable surviving newspaper approaching 200 years old.

Condition: This is an authentic antique newspaper showing substantial age-related wear consistent with a paper item dating to 1830. There is overall toning/browning, original folding and creasing, edge chipping, tears, small areas of paper loss and deterioration along portions of the margins. Some edges are fragile. Despite the wear, the vast majority of the printed material remains remarkably clear and legible, including the prominent masthead and November 11, 1830 publication date.
