Canadian Pacific - A sixteen-page cruise deck plan brochure from 1929 for the DUCHESS OF BEDFORD filled with interior views and cabin lay-outs.
The ship took three long and leisurely Caribbean cruises during the winter of 1929-1930.
After a four-panel portrait-at-sea, the brochure opens to 32\". Tabbed pages lead to color-coded plans of five decks with rates and photos. In back is a fold-out (16\" by 19\") color-coded deck plan showing the entire ship.
I count forty-seven (!!!) b&w interior views covering public rooms, decks, and many cabins. There are also seventeen (!!!) color-coded sample cabin lay-outs. Rarely do you get such an extensive look inside a ship.
Of the four DUCHESS ships of 1928-29, only the DUCHESS OF BEDFORD avoided torpedoes, bombs, and fire to live on to see the breakers.
