1953 Model 401-A MacKay Radio Portable Lifeboat Radio. This model, while showing its age with torn exterior cover, is otherwise complete. Includes both Crank handles, Telescopic Antenna mast, headphones and instructions.This Radio features callsign KIYG20 which belonged to the USS Crescent City APA-21, known later in its life as the TS Golden Bear II, the training ship belonging to California Maritime Academy.It currently does not work, makes for a cool display piece or restoration project.
