For sale is the extremely rare Volume 1, Number 1 edition of the Anthill, the student newspaper of the University of California, Irvine, dated October 6, 1966.
Because the university only opened in 1965, the student population at the time was exceptionally small, making this inaugural issue an incredibly scarce piece of campus history. Finding a copy from this era that has survived in this condition is extremely rare.
This issue documents the early days of the university and its student culture prior to the publication's transition to The New University in the fall of 1968.
