Antique 1870-1880\'s vintage doctors tool, folding bistoury/surgical knife lancet For Sale

This is a doctor’s bistoury, or surgical lancet, from the 1870s–1880s. Since it has a metal handle, it is probably closer to the 1880s; doctors had moved away from wood handles after realizing that wood could harbor bacteria. This knife would have been used for minor surgery, internal incisions, bloodletting, and lancing. No markings are visible.Great gift for him for Christmas.
