Antique Merchants Bank Mobile Alabama Metal Book Safe No Key Advertising AL For Sale

This is a "Book of Thrift" promotional coin bank from The Merchants National Bank of Mobile, Alabama, manufactured by the Bankers Utilities Company around the 1920s or 1930s. It is made of book shaped metal and leatherette and is a promotional coin/savings bank. Features an embossed depiction of the bank's building and the text "The Merchants National Bank of Mobile, Alabama" on the green and gold cover.See pictures for condition. There is no key although a key was in the box IT IS NOT THE CORRECT KEY. Which was so sad because I think there is something inside it. But who knows?
