A characterful antique wooden moulding plane by MOSELEY & SONS of LONDON — one of the most respected London plane makers — with G. SAUNDERS owner stamp. Part of a small Saunders kit from the same Victorian craftsman.

CONSTRUCTION:
- Beech body, approximately 25cm (10 inches) long — standard London moulding-plane proportions- Decorative round-topped wedge- Boxwood insert / wear strip set into the sole — denser hardwood that resists wear, a quality construction detail- Boxing strip with brass/steel screws — premium build feature- Original cutting iron, present and seated
CONDITION:
Honest used antique condition consistent with age and working life. Iron present, wedge present, body complete with boxwood insert and all screws intact. The Moseley & Sons toe stamp is clearly readable, as is the G. SAUNDERS owner mark. Some patina, light scuffs and historic use marks consistent with a working tool.
