Here is a great Antique Mougin Cartel Wall Clock for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at a high end catalog sale due to a high end divorce in the Philadelphia, PA area. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!

Great A D Mougin Cartel Clock for you that was made in France. Probably made in the latter 1800s. The case has the name of \"Dostal\" and the number \"146\" on it. The case is made of bronze and appears to be intact, no cracks, repairs or missing pieces. The back door of the case is in place and it\'s hinge works. A couple of the bronze decorative spokes are separated from the places they attached to the center circle piece.

The movement has the A D Mougin trademark on it. The time and strike springs feel sound when keyed. The back plate of the movement has the number \"26089\" on the left middle side of it. Also has the number \"5\" on bottom middle of the plate. Looks like someone scratched France and something else into the back plate as well. See pics. The movement did not come with a pendulum. Fitting it with a vintage French look reproduction one now. The clock movement was just cleaned and serviced by Clock Doc and had a new time spring put in it. The clock was also fitted with a reproduction pendulum. The clock is being sold in running and striking condition. The clock will come with a vintage wind key.

The face is an enameled porcelain. Someone wrote \"France\" on the face. There is some chipping of the face is a few places. Nice gold colored hands that look appropriate to the clock. The beveled glass over the face is intact, no cracking or blistering. The bezel is securely attached to the case.

The hang hook is still with the clock and there is a bottom piece to allow the clock to stay flush/level on the wall. Not sure if that bottom piece was original to the clock case.

As can be expectedwhen dealing with an antique clock, some adjustments may be needed aftershipping to get the clock re-running correctly again as they can be verydelicate. If you have not had experience with old mechanical clocksbefore, we would suggest you steer clear. One really needs to have thepatience, and skill to work with these great works of art. They are notour modern plug in and go, or change the battery clocks. Please ask anyquestions relating to this matter, before you decide to purchase it.
